)-- A leading expert in long-term care insurance will be addressing insurance agents who market Medicare Supplement and other senior-related insurance products about the opportunities to market and sell short-term care insurance solutions.
"Few insurance professionals are familiar with the way short-term care insurance can help fill gaps in Medicare coverage and how it can be a very viable planning option for those facing the risk of needing long term care," explains Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI). Slome will be speaking at the upcoming national conference for insurance agents who market Medicare Supplement products.
On Monday, April 25th a free daylong program will take place prior to the start of the Eighth National Medicare Supplement Summit. The event will be held at the Westin at Crown Center in Kansas City, MO.
"I am hoping that hundreds of insurance agents who market insurance solutions to seniors will attend the free conference," Slome added. "In addition to an outstanding program featuring many of the nation's top insurance professionals, attendees will be able to visit with some 40 exhibitors including leading Medigap insurers and others who support the industry."
Slome's morning talk will focus on short-term care insurance. The founder of the National Advisory Center for Short-Term Care Information, he acknowledged that few agents really have an understanding of the products or the ways to market them to their senior clientele.
