West Palm Beach, FL, March 29, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Sign up for Jay Goldberg’s courses runs through Friday April 8, 2016. This term, entrepreneurship, music and computers are the topics of his courses. Courses start the week of April 11, 2016.

Rock Music History: The Seventies is Mr. Goldberg newest course, and will be taught Wednesday nights from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM at Jupiter Community High School.

This is an eight week course. Relive the key moments in rock music history for each year. Some events will bring back memories; others will surprise you. During this time in rock music you see the breakup of the Beatles, a major divergence between top 40 singles and album rock, the emergence of punk/new wave which will eventually lead to a split of rock into mainstream and alternative, the emergence of disco, and more. The course also covers for each year: What were the top singles? What albums have stood the test of time? What bands folded? What bands were started? In addition to lecture, this course includes live footage and music videos for one song released during every month of the seventies. And there may be some live music performances as well.

How to Start, Grow and Manage a Business will be taught at Jupiter High School on Tuesday nights from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM and at Palm Beach Central High School on Thursday night from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Both are for eight weeks.

Studies have indicated that 50% of all businesses fail in its first year and five years down the road only 10% to 33% (depends on study) are left standing. The two main reasons for business failures are lack of a business plan and poor management. This course was specifically set up to help entrepreneurs in these two vital areas. The topics covered in this course include: how to do business in Florida, the benefits/differences between various business structures, business plans, strategic planning, marketing & branding, management, customer service, sales skills, cash flow management, sources for obtaining funds, risk management, elevator pitch, tax benefits of owning a business, and more. This course is for individuals looking to start a business, entrepreneurs in young businesses, and owners and managers in seasoned businesses looking to grow their businesses. The course uses lectures and videos (Shark Tank, Family Guy, Mystery Diners, actual commercials, etc.) to help get across the key points taught in this class. Text book, Building a Successful Business, is required and needs to be purchased on the first night of class.

Computer and Internet Basics will be taught at Atlantic Community High School on Monday nights from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. This is an eight week course.

This course is for individuals with little to no computer experience and covers the basics of using a computer (including the filing system, saving files, cut/copy/paste, etc.) and the Internet (using browsers, favorite places, search engines, email basics, etc.).
