Survivor Bootcamp is Kicking Calgary's Butt in the New Year

Calgary, Canada, January 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Many Calgarians wants to get fit this new year without going to the gym. They may try to drag themselves to the gym and last a couple weeks but they are miserable and it rarely lasts. This is where Survivor Bootcamp comes in - they cater to people who want to get fit and have fun at the same time. People who play with it, stay with it.

Classes are run several times a day Monday through Friday out of central Calgary. The program features small classes led by a skilled personal trainer and is big on fun.

One of Clinton Wasylishen's favourite aspects is watching the transformation of his participants over the course of the program "I regularly hear back from clients that people around them almost immediately notice a shift in energy. It is extremely rewarding to see this change in my clients" One client, Brooke is a walking bootcamp success story. She started when she was "extremely overweight, tipping obese" and has worked her butt off (quite literally) all summer. "As soon as you think "My God - if I have to do one more pushup I am going to lose my mind" we switch to another activity. It's extremely fast paced, but it's as hard as you want it to be."

Survivor Bootcamp has been operating in Calgary since April of 2007. Clinton Wasylishen is the head trainer in Calgary and continues to inspire the clients that he works with on a daily basis - starting each morning at 6AM. He started off his new active lifestyle over 250 pounds and horribly out of shape. He now competes regularly in endurance athletics, with many marathons and a handful of Ironman distance triathlons under his belt. He now spreads his infectious love of fitness to all who participate in his program.
