Gilroy’s Atlas of Anatomy is SOMA’s Main Premium for 2015

New York, NY, August 10, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Thieme, one of the world’s leading scientific, medical and educational publishers, is very pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA).

As part of the SOMA-Thieme partnership, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) will be providing Thieme’s Atlas of Anatomy, Second Edition, by Anne M. Gilroy et al., to all new SOMA members for the 2015-2016 membership year.

Thieme will also provide one year of free online access to its interactive study and testing tool for anatomy, WinkingSkull.com. WinkingSkull provides content from the Atlas of Anatomy as well as over 400 USMLE-style review questions and answers from Anatomy – An Essential Textbook, also by Anne M. Gilroy.

"SOMA has been partnered with Thieme for the past six years, providing thousands of members with access to valuable educational materials. For the second year in a row, Thieme and the AOA have made it possible to provide new SOMA members with a text that will enhance their anatomy education. Providing osteopathic medical students with the tools they need to become successful DOs is a priority for SOMA, and Thieme's support is greatly appreciated." - Kate DeGraaff, OMS IV, Director of Membership and Alumni Affairs, Student Osteopathic Medical Association

"It has been exciting to see the many ways our growing relationship with SOMA has benefited their members over the years. From studying for an exam to brushing up before rounds, the educational resources Thieme offers have supported osteopathic students throughout their journey to becoming DOs. Thieme is proud to partner with SOMA to further the medical education of their first year members, and we look forward to providing them with the quality learning resources they need." - Mike Roseman, Director of Sales for North America at Thieme
