Walnut Street West Library In Philadelphia Launches Online Fundraiser

Philadelphia, PA, April 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Walnut Street West Library, a branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia located at 201 S. 40th Street, has launched their Online Facebook Fundraiser. The library is reaching out to obtain funding for needed projects such as building renovations, books and materials for their literacy program as well as operating costs.

"This is something new for the library as far as a venue for raising money", says Sondra Carpenter, Avon Independent Sales Representative and Fundraising Consultant. "This offers an opportunity to generate funds without the staff or volunteers needing to place orders, collect money or deliver packages. Orders can be placed online by supporters and delivered direct to their door. Half of all sales commissions will be donated to the library."

All visitors to the site are also encouraged to share the Walnut Street West Library Philadelphia Online Fundraiser event page with everyone they know since merchandise can be shipped throughout the US. Simply click Invite at the top right and in the drop down menu click Share event.

The library, which is also celebrating their 110th anniversary this year, has been a valued resource for the residents of West Philadelphia, particularly the Spruce Hill and Walnut Hill neighborhoods. They offer programs such as literacy training for children, teens and adults, healthy nutrition classes, a Lego club for children and many more.
