Event Synopsis:
In June 2015, the US Department of Labor (DOL) announced the highly anticipated proposed revisions to the Fair Labor Standards Act’s (FLSA) overtime exemptions. The revisions were designed to extend overtime protections to millions of employees and to significantly increase the salary level needed to qualify as exempt under the FLSA’s white collar standard and highly compensated exemptions (HCE). Both the minimum salary level for exemption and the HCE threshold will increase on an annual basis after the new regulations become effective.

This year, the revised regulations will be published coming July. It means employers will have 60 days to comply with new regulations after they are published. Although final regulations are not yet known, employers should now be learning about the proposed changes before they become final.

In this two-hour Live Webcast, a panel of key thought leaders, professionals, and labor law attorneys will discuss best practices and assists audience in preparing for and implementing these regulatory changes, as well as helping employers avoid common pitfalls. The panel will also provide an overview in assessing the changes that are required when revising employee handbooks and/or policies to reflect the new regulations.
