Support for Children’s and Senior’s Programs Are Key Focus on Comcast Cares Day at Food Bank of South Jersey

Pennsauken, NJ, April 29, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Approximately 120 Comcast employees are volunteering at the Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ) on Comcast Cares Day, assisting the non-profit organization with multiple projects. These include:

· Assembling 1,500 food packs to be distributed through FBSJ’s Kidz Pack program (for school children) and Twilight Harvest program (for seniors). Comcast employees also donated the food used for packing.
· Inspecting, sorting, and categorizing donated food in FBSJ’s Marketplace.
· Beautifying FBSJ’s building and grounds, including its vegetable garden.

This is the 15th annual Comcast Cares Day, which takes place each April during National Volunteer Month. It is Comcast’s companywide celebration of their year-round commitment to service and has grown to be the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer event.
