Among other winners, RoneyZone Productions founder Jeff Roney was given a Special Recognition, "Thinking Outside the Box," Award.

Orange, CA, January 10, 2008 --( Nathan P. Butler, founder of, decided to announce the 2008 awards in a more subdued fashion this year. Rather than a large, award show platform, as it was presented in the past, he chose to include the announcement in his own "View and Interview" show, The Butlerniverse. With the slowing of Star Wars-based Fan Audio projects, Butler decided to award Star Wars Fanworks members who garnered special recognition. Jeff Roney was chosen for the "Thinking Outside the Box," Special Recognition Award. Butler described Jeff as someone who is "a pioneer and a guide to pioneers."

RoneyZone Productions has won many awards in the past:
Best Audio Parody, "Tatooine TV" (2004 – 2007);
Radio Show “Rookie of the Year” Award, "RoneyZone Radio" (2006);
Best Radio Show Host, "RoneyZone Radio" (2007);
and many others.

As RoneyZone Productions enters 2008, there are many projects already in production, such as the multi-episode, futuristic thriller, "New World Army," set to be released in mid-February, as well as other projects, like "Animal Rites" and "Voices," both in pre-production. RoneyZone productions is very busy with audio productions, books, and collaborations spanning all parts of audio, video, print and new media blends of all three. This will be a very exciting year for RoneyZone Productions, and it begins with winning this Special Recognition Award.
