Denise Bober of The Breakers Palm Beach, Inc. Will Present at 8th Annual Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress

Palm Beach Gardens, FL, May 04, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Denise Bober, Vice President of Human Resources at The Breakers Palm Beach, Inc. will present at the 8th Annual Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress in Washington D.C. from September 25th – 28th. The EHBC brings together professionals from the human resource, health care, benefits and wellness industries together to network and learn the latest information and best practices in the industry.

Denise first joined The Breakers in 1988 as the administrative assistant to the director of human resources, in awe of the director position and captivated by the critical role HR plays in fostering a dynamic work environment and how it impacts so many lives. Only a year later, Bober was promoted to employment manager, and infused her creativity to develop a world class recruiting strategy, critical for an organization that firmly believes “you hire for attitude and train for skill.” In 1997, Bober became The Breakers’ director of human resources, where she dramatically expanded the resort’s HR initiatives; developing staff relations programs, recognition programs, service awards, and specialized training and professional development programs. She ultimately transformed HR into a front-of-organization division.

As vice president of human resources at The Breakers, Bober is responsible for overseeing the human resources function for 2000 team members. In addition, Bober is credited for shaping a culture of well-being at the resort that began over a decade ago and has made a positive impact on both the professional and personal lives of its employees and their families.

She was appointed to the Board of Trustees for Palm Healthcare Foundation in January 2014 and currently serves on the Executive Committee. She also serves on the Advisory Board for the Rinker School of Business at Palm Beach Atlantic University. From 2007 – 2013 she served on the Board of the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce, and during that time completed a two year term as the Chamber’s president. She is a member of the Human Resources Association of Palm Beach County, the Executive Women’s Association of the Palm Beaches, a former member of the International Association of Women Chefs & Restaurateurs, and a past board member of Goodwill Industries.

Other speaking engagements include: Global Wellness Summit 2015, Mexico City, HR in Hospitality sponsored by Cornell University, SHINE Summit 2015, Innovating for NetPositive Impact, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, to name a few.

Denise’s topic will be titled “A New Era of Well-being ~ Human Energy Management” and will discuss how The Breakers Palm Beach transformed into a healthier company via human energy management. Attendees will learn how to create a culture of well-being, over health pitfalls, determine the analytic standard for their company and how to manage energy through nutrition and movement. Denise will be joined by The Breakers’ Director of Team Member Development, Pat Ciavola. Bober and Ciavola recently received the Heroes in Medicine award from the Palm Beach County Medical Society under the category Health Care Prevention & Wellness Heroes.

“I am very excited to be sharing The Breakers’ success in human energy management with the EHBC,” said Bober. “The audience the EHBC brings in is the ideal target for our message; they are the wellness decision makers. By sharing what we have done with a receptive audience, we can help spread these ideas across the country and make more businesses a healthy and happy place to work.”
