Local Kansas City Podcaster to be Inducted Into Podcasters Hall of Fame

Overland Park, KS, May 11, 2016 --(PR.com)-- podCast411 Inc. is proud to announce that Rob Walch President & founder of podCast411 Inc. will be inducted into the Podcasters Hall of Fame (http://academyofpodcasters.com/hall-of-fame/) on July 6th at the Academy of Podcasters Awards and Hall of Fame Ceremony in Chicago. This event is part of Podcast Movement (http://podcastmovement.com) the largest global Podcasting event. Rob Walch will be one of 5 inductees in the 2nd class of the Hall of Fame, joining the 6 inductees from the 2015 inaugural class.

“I am honored to be chosen to be part of the Podcasters Hall of Fame and more so to be the first person to represent the Kansas City area,” said Rob Walch, “With Podcasting my family has the freedom to live anywhere in the country, but there is nowhere else we could ever imagine wanting to live than right here.”

Mr. Walch started podcasting in 2004, over 6 months prior to Apple even supporting Podcasting. His first podcast was podCast411 where he has interviewed such prominent podcasters as Quincy Jones, Walt Mossberg, Colin Ferguson (Eureka), Ronald Moore (Executive Producer of Battlestar Galactica), Phil Gordon (World Series of Poker), Larry Kudlow (CNBC’s Kudlow and Company) and Leo Laporte (TechTV, G4 TV). Additionally Rob is host of Today in iOS (iPhone) Podcast – The first podcast about the iPhone - www.todayinios.com and also the KC Startup 411 podcast which covers the Kansas City Start up scene - www.kcstartup411.com. Rob is also co-host of The Feed podcast which is the official podcast for libsyn.com and one of the largest podcasts focused on the craft of podcasting.

Mr. Walch is Co-Author of the book “Tricks of the Podcasting Masters” - Que 2006, an editors pick as a Top 10 Reference book for 2006 by Amazon.com. He is author of the free iBook - Podcast101 (https://itunes.apple.com/book/id498143383?mt=11). He was listed as the 5th most influential person in podcasting according to the book “Podcasting for Dummies” – Wiley Press 2005. Rob has presented at well over 100 National and Local events on the subject of podcasting including; NAB, the Newspaper Association of America Marketing Conference, the US Latino Film Festival, the Corporate Podcasting Summit, The Association for Women in Communications Annual Professional Conference, Ad-Tech, Podcast Movement, New Media Expo, and Blogworld Expo. He also has been a guest lecturer numerous times at the University of Kansas School of Journalism.
