South Korean Ambassador Tours Start-Up Businesses at HCDC with Congressman Steve Chabot

The purpose of the visit was to present the Ambassador examples of American business, from start-up size such as those he visited at HCDC like GeckoTek, Resolution Air, General Nano, and Sense Diagnostics, to multi-national corporations like Kroger, Fifth Third Bank and Procter & Gamble.

Cincinnati, OH, May 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- HCDC, Inc. had its first-ever visit by an ambassador on Friday when South Korean Ambassador Ahn Ho-Young joined Congressman Steve Chabot on a tour of HCDC's Business Center, and even met with some on-site start-up companies.

"South Korea is an important ally and partner in the Asia and Pacific region. So, I was honored to host Ambassador Ahn Ho-Young last week and highlight for him some of the best that Cincinnati has to offer. It was particularly gratifying to be able to show the Ambassador the innovative and groundbreaking technology and ideas that Cincinnati small businesses are developing. And I think he was impressed by the comprehensive support, mentoring, and other services that HCDC provides those businesses to help them survive, grow and thrive," says Congressman Steve Chabot.

"I appreciate Congressman Chabot's thinking of HCDC and giving us the opportunity to show South Korean Ambassador Ahn Ho-Young first-hand how small business and entrepreneurship development works in our community, through our meeting and a tour of HCDC," says David K. Main, HCDC President/CEO.

"I was very impressed by the ways that HCDC helps small- and medium-sized enterprises become competitive. It reminds me of how Korea's Innovation Economy initiative is similarly focused on helping small businesses start up and succeed. I look forward to the shared benefits that future cooperation between Korean and Ohio-based companies can bring to both our economies," expressed Ambassador Ahn Ho-Young.

The Business Center clients that met with the statesmen were blown away by the encouragement and knowledgeable questions of the visitors.

"It was an absolute honor to meet with Congressman Chabot and Ambassador Ahn Ho-Young," says Resolution Air, Ltd. owner Brad Thompson. "Congressman Chabot's visit was a testament to his commitment to entrepreneurs. Additionally, the Ambassador's insightful questioning was indicative of his passion for early-stage manufacturing entrepreneurs. It's incredibly inspiring to receive encouragement from two great world leaders."
