Medical Startup PenBlade Gets Crafty in Hobby Lobby

Salt Lake City, UT, May 13, 2016 --(PR.com)-- This week, Hobby Lobby introduced PenBlade® in 684 stores nationally. PenBlade, Inc., an innovative medical device company, is gaining international recognition by selling its scalpels as craft and hobby knives. PenBlade is safer than typical craft knives because of its retractable blade and safe-trimming groove.

“Our partnership with Hobby Lobby is an exciting milestone,” said CEO and Founder of PenBlade, Branden D. Rosenhan, MD. “Just like our medical customers, crafters want a safer alternative to the craft knives currently on the market, and PenBlade fills that need.”

The launch is only the latest in a series of successes. In January of 2016, PenBlade displayed at the Craft and Hobby Association for the first time. In an unprecedented victory, PenBlade won the Hot Product Award in two of the eight categories; Floral Crafts and Cake & Food Decorating.

About PenBlade, Inc.: Originally a safety device company, PenBlade aims to improve safety in the medical field. However, the market quickly expanded when nurses, borrowing unused scalpels, discovered PenBlades made excellent craft knives. PenBlade is now a staple for crafts, hobbies, cake decorating, DIY, floral, sewing and general office needs.
