Second Annual "Summer Kickoff" Festival to be Held June 18 at Grand Lake St. Marys, Mustang Sally to Headline


The Lake Improvement Associationís Summer Kickoff festival features family fun for everyone: live bands (Mustang Sally and Sundown), 5K Color Run/Walk, cornhole tournament, beer pong tournament, car cruise-in, fun kidsí activities, on-site arcade, pony rides, concessions and more than 50 vendors.

Saint Marys, OH, May 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Lake Improvement Association will host the second annual Summer Kickoff festival from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18 near the Villa Nova shelter house on the northeast side of Grand Lake St. Marys. The event is free to the public, with all proceeds going toward the improvement of Grand Lake St. Marys. Learn more at http://www.lakeimprovement.com/summer-kickoff-2016.

Mustang Sally will headline the event with an award-winning show that combines country and rock tunes with audience interaction for can’t-miss entertainment. Sundown will open for Mustang Sally.

In addition to live music, Summer Kickoff 2016 will feature:
Color Run 5K Run/Walk (registration deadline to receive a free tee shirt is June 8), part of the Grand Lake Health System Road to Fitness Challenge
Cornhole Tournament ($500 grand prize)
Beer Pong Tournament ($500 grand prize)
Car Cruise-In
Fun kids’ games, favorite characters, pony rides and a video game arcade
50+ vendors
Food and beverage concessions
Boater’s Beach at First Beach (come by land or by sea)
DJs

The purpose of the Lake Improvement Association is to promote closer fellowship and cooperation among farmers, landing owners and park operators; to advance the general improvement of the lake, its shores, channels, creeks, landings, parks and land in order to promote good health, soil stability, and clean, wholesome recreation for the public and private use of the area adjacent to the shores of the Grand Lake St. Marys, located in Mercer and Auglaize counties in the State of Ohio.
