Canonball Names Kace Phillips as Chief Content Officer

Canonball appoints Kace Phillips to lead the charge of all marketing content initiatives in newly created role as Chief Content Officer.

Dallas, TX, May 26, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Canonball, a marketing firm specializing in high-end luxury living is excited to announce the appointment of Kace Phillips into a newly created role within the organization, Chief Content Officer. As Canonball has grown, its focus on creating remarkable content for the real estate community, as well as establishing its clients as thought-leaders in the industry through content marketing, has sharpened greatly. By creating this role, Canonball is putting an even greater importance on continuing to be the go-to agency for real estate developers, owners, property managers, and vendors for content marketing.

As CCO, Phillips’ main focus at Canonball will be to lead the agency in all marketing content initiatives, for both Canonball's clients as well as the agency itself. Phillips’ charge is for the agency to create remarkable content across multiple platforms and formats to drive sales, engagement, retention, leads, and positive customer behavior.

Phillips has been with Canonball for over four years, most recently heading up the Client Services division as the Director of Client Services. As Director of Client Services, Phillips helped grow the agency’s revenue 100% and win marquee accounts like StreetLights Residential, Billingsley Company, Provident Realty Advisors, CBRE, and ResMan Property Management.

Making the move from account-side to creative-side will be a challenging one, but one that Canonball CEO Jon Simpson feels Phillips is more than equipped to handle.

“Over the last two years we have been determined to narrow our focus to become the industry leader in content marketing within this niche space. Creating this position in our agency was a concerted effort, as we are increasing the amount of remarkable content that we will be generating for both ourselves and our clients. We feel Phillips is a perfect fit for this position due to his outstanding strategic direction while heading up our Client Service department, and his background as a writer.”

A Creative Writing major at Arizona State University, Phillips has spent almost a decade in the advertising and marketing industry, and is excited to get back to his roots.

“When I first started in this business, I wanted to be a copywriter, so this is a great opportunity for me to get back to where I always thought I’d be. Initially, it’s going to be a challenge to shift my mindset on a daily basis, but a challenge that I relish,” Phillips said. “I’m coming into the CCO position not to retool the strong content team we’ve built at Canonball, rather to enhance their work and provide the leadership necessary to take the agency to the next level.”
