DMI Selected to Develop Mobile Apps for the International Student Identity Card Association

Global ISIC Office Redesigns Apps to Extend Reach, Increase Security and Replace Plastic Cards

Bethesda, MD, May 28, 2016 --(PR.com)-- DMI announced today that it has been selected by the International Student Identity Card Organisation (ISIC) global office to strategically redesign, develop and launch a new mobile platform consisting of updated mobile apps for iOS and Android and a new mobile website. The ISIC Association is the non-profit organisation behind the ISIC student ID card. The ISIC card is the only internationally accepted proof of student status and is used by over 5 million students globally to access 42,000 discounts around the world.

• Virtual global student ID card provides exclusive offers, opportunities – Once developed, the new apps and mobile website will represent ISIC’s key mission to provide students with the right information at the right time. Students will gain preferential and discounted access to products, services and experiences relevant to all aspects of student life, from software licenses and cinema access to bookstores, public transport, cafés and eateries. Additionally, local businesses from around the world will be able to engage students through exclusive offers and incentives.
• Going green through mobile apps – To facilitate global green initiatives, the apps will eventually replace the plastic cards currently distributed to students.
• More secure for students – Identifying a student by linking their ISIC membership to their mobile device will increase security by avoiding card theft and loss.
• ISIC turns to the experts at DMI – Over the past year, DMI has delivered more than 250 mobile applications to enterprises from around the world with a focus on usability testing, quality assurance and an agile development process that will help ISIC to achieve a mobile-first approach to reach and engage its student community.

Magnus Jern, president of DMI International, said, “As mobility continues to drive an unprecedented transformation of global online and offline connected commerce, no one on the planet is more tied to their mobile devices than students. Drawing from a wealth of experience working with a wide range of organisations to deliver on mobile strategies, our team is providing ISIC with unique insight and design elements to help better engage end users and build customer loyalty, as well as tap new revenue streams.”
