Philadelphia Labor Lawyer Shares Collective Bargaining Strategies for Police, Fire

Willig, Williams & Davidson partner Richard G. Poulson shared contract bargaining insight for public safety employees at LRIS conference.

Philadelphia, PA, June 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Philadelphia labor and employment attorney Richard G. Poulson recently presented a session on collective bargaining for public safety employees such as police officers and fire fighters at a seminar organized by LRIS, Labor Relations Information System.

Based in Portland, Oregon, LRIS is a leading resource on personnel issues for public safety professionals and their employers. Held in Las Vegas, the conference focused on recent developments from around the United States in the area of public safety labor relations.

Poulson’s session, which he co-presented with Ohio employment attorney Jonathan Downes, was entitled The Nuts & Bolts of Bargaining, Bargaining Strategies, and Media Relations and explored best practices such as keeping a “contract notebook” and ways to effectively deal with various constituencies, including union members and elected officials, during difficult times.
