iDTRONIC Introduces the New High Performance UHF RFID Reader with the Most Advanced Global Frequency Range

iDTRONIC, a leading supplier of RFID Hardware solutions, today introduced the high-performance UHF Long Range Reader UHF-LR with a read range of up to 10 meters.

Ludwigshafen, Germany, January 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The new reader is a Multi-tag UHF Reader, capable of reading all tags that conform to the EPC Generation Two (Gen2) and ISO 18000-6 B/C standards. In addition, this UHF device is field upgradeable to support future protocols.

Based on Intel’s latest R1000 transceiver, this reader can be configured within a frequency range of 860 – 960 MHz, and has a software programmable RF Power supply (up to 2W RF). With one single reader, systems integrators can support the most common UHF tags in the US, Europe, and Japan.

As the latest addition to iDTRONIC’s family of multi-protocol, multi-regional UHF RFID Readers, the UHF-LR reader supports the very important Dense Reader Mode (DRM) capability. It also offers the Listen before talk feature and Anti-Self Jamming (ASJ) technology to allow users to operate several readers simultaneously in a Multi-Reader Environment.

iDTRONICs Long Range UHF Reader allows multiple configuration possibilities to support a wide variety of typical applications, including asset management, baggage handling, container & pallet tracking, item-level inventory management and warehouse logistics.

The reader has a robust design, and comes in a very small form factor, with both USB and RS232 serial interfaces. It can be connected to up to four Antennas at the same time. Easy and fast Firmware upgrades are possible via the USB Interface and a SDK for Developers is also available.

“IDTRONIC newest UHF RFID Reader is a major milestone in our development roadmap and fits perfectly in with our state-of-the-art UHF Product family, including UHF Readers, UHF Antennas and all different kinds of UHF Tags” commented Roger Kochendoerfer, Chief Executive Officer of iDTRONIC.
