The Scientology Information Center Celebrates Diversity with Community

Friday May 27th the Scientology Information Center in Downtown Clearwater hosted a special reception during the “Blast Friday Concert” and the one year anniversary of the local Puerto Rican/Caribbean food restaurant, “La Fondita de Leo” from 6-10pm.

Clearwater, FL, June 03, 2016 --(PR.com)-- At one end of Cleveland street the last Blast Friday Free outdoor concert featured, “Here come the Mummies” a popular Funk band best known for its live performances. On the other end was the one year anniversary celebration of, “La Fondita” with live Puerto Rican music and visitors dancing on the street. The Scientology Information Center’s reception offered refreshments and answers to common questions about Scientology.

During the reception over 70 people visited the Information Center, looked around at displays and sampled refreshments. People of all ages got their first view inside a Church of Scientology and learned about the life of Scientology’s Founder, Mr. L. Ron Hubbard.

“I really like that this center is here and open to the community. You can find out for yourself and get a better understanding of what Scientology is. I think I’ll come back again and see more,” stated Chris, a reception attendee.

The Center also offered shelter from a late-evening shower which brought together very diverse visitors. “Even though the rain was a spoiler it offered a chance for families, Rock radio show hosts, hair dressers and college students to wait out the rain together and share great conversation,” stated Amber Skjelset the Center Manager.

Upcoming events hosted in the Scientology Information Center are:

June 8th – Monthly Business Reception for businesses and entrepreneurs interested in expanding their contacts and making new friends from the community.

June 12th –The East Coast Golden Age Theatre will bring some old-fashioned fun with a theatrical presentation of the Pulp Fiction Classic “They Killed him Dead” by L. Ron Hubbard.
