)-- HIREDTexas offers free computer classes to area unemployed. HIREDTexas, a federally recognized nonprofit organization, helps job seekers looking for career opportunities in Central Texas, with weekly networking meetings, forums and classes. HIREDTexas offers a variety of learning opportunities to improve job skills. Classes meet at Grace Presbyterian Church at 1705 Gattis School Road in Round Rock. Laptops are available for use by the participants. All classes are offered free of charge but participants must register to ensure appropriate resources are available. The summer schedule will cover the following:
June 6 – June 21: Excel 1 (Beginner) and Word 2 (Intermediate)
July 11 – July 26: Excel 2 (Intermediate) and PowerPoint 1 (Beginner)
August 1 – August 16: Word 1 (Beginner) and PowerPoint 2 (Intermediate)
Classes are taught on HIREDTexas equipment. Trainers provide hands-on assistance throughout the class.

HIREDTexas traces its start to the Great Recession in 2009. In 2012, the group was granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service.
