Sadiq Khan Nominates Spice Village Restaurant & Catering for the Annual Tiffin Cup Award

London Mayor Picks Spice Village Tooting for the Tiffin Cup Award

London, United Kingdom, June 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Spice Village restaurant & catering group has been nominated by Sadiq Khan, the former Tooting MP and incumbent Mayor of London for the prestigious Tiffin Cup Award. The Tiffin Cup is an annual award, which every MP in the country nominates a South Asian restaurant for. The proceeds from the competition go to different charities each year and this year’s charities will be Water Aid and World Vision.

The nominated restaurants attend a cook off at the House of Commons and a winner is chosen and announced in the Parliament on July 12th.

Mr. Khan put up his nomination to vote and two thirds of the respondents choose Spice Village. Mr. Khan also added, "This is such a prestigious competition and I look forward to welcoming Spice Village to the House of Commons."
