Auditor Training Centre Focuses on Workplace Safety

The high number of Australian workers being killed or seriously injured is prompting businesses to sign up for AS/NZS 4801 and OHSAS 18001 training.

Brendale, Australia, June 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Increasing focus on the health and safety of Australian workers has seen both a tightening of legislation, and bigger penalties for those who don't adhere to it.

According to Safe Work Australia, as of 22 June, 76 Australian workers have been killed at work in 2016. That is in addition to the many horrific workplace accidents that take place every week, causing pain, distress and hardship to families.

Smart businesses are seeing the huge benefits to be had from providing AS/NZS 4801 and OHSAS 18001 training to all employees. In addition, achieving certification to these Standards gives organisations a better reputation and can even reduce their insurance costs.

With AS/NZS 4801 or OHSAS 18001 in place, an organisation is also less likely to find itself in breach of the law.

To achieve certification to AS/NZS 4801 and OHSAS 18001, businesses must implement appropriate management systems and be regularly audited. As a result, many are seeing the benefits of employing their own internal auditors.

Auditor Training Centres, such as SC Training Centre in Brisbane, are seeing many more attendees, some acting on behalf of their employer, others doing it to improve their own qualifications.

AS/NZS 4801 and OHSAS 18001 training will allow an organisation to assess and monitor workplace hazards and controls, and show a commitment to keeping its employees, customers and other stakeholders safe.

The benefits to the business owner can be huge, ranging from better compliance with legislation to a reduction in downtime and costs, and easier access to major contracts and tenders.

Both AS/NZS 4801 and OHSAS 18001 lead auditor training are excellent choices, the former being a popular choice in Australia and New Zealand. AS/NZS 4801 can be used by any type of business, and will put in place tools for the organisation to reduce risks and improve overall safety in the workplace.
