Robert J. Ramseur, Jr. Elected Vice Chairman of North Carolina Real Estate Commission

Ragsdale Liggett PLLC announces partner, Robert J. Ramseur, Jr. has been elected Vice Chairman of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Governor Pat McCrory appointed Ramseur to the Commission in 2015. Ramseur chairs the law firm's real estate department.

Raleigh, NC, July 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Ragsdale Liggett PLLC is pleased to announce that partner Robert J. Ramseur, Jr. has been elected Vice Chairman of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. The Commission is responsible for the regulation of approximately 98,000 real estate agents and firms in the state.

Ramseur is chair of the law firm’s real estate department where his practice is focused on residential and commercial real estate transactions, real estate financing and development, tax and entity structuring, lease negotiations and drafting and real estate litigation.

Since he was licensed to practice law in 1996, Ramseur has counselled buyers and sellers, real estate developers, homebuilders, banks and mortgage brokers, real estate brokers, landlords and tenants in all aspects of real estate law. Bob is an active member of various real estate associations where he held past President or Chair positions for the Wake County Real Property Lawyers Association, the Joint Forms Task Force for the North Carolina Bar Association and North Carolina Association of REALTORS®, and the Real Estate Lawyers Association of North Carolina, Inc. (RELANC), a trade association with over 350 members. Ramseur has been recognized by his peers for virtually every legal and real estate award in the state including his recent selection to Super Lawyers list of the top 100 lawyers in North Carolina.

Civic and charitable activities make up an important part of Ramseur’s life. He is devoted to numerous organizations serving in board and other leadership positions. A native of Raleigh, Bob graduated with honors from Needham B. Broughton High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in History, cum laude, in 1992 from Wake Forest University where he also earned his law degree in 1995. Bob and his wife, Amanda, have a son and a daughter and are members of Hayes Barton United Methodist Church.
