Hops Farm Expands to New Location for Micro Brewery in British Columbia

Since opening its first Hops Farming location in Chilliwack, British Columbia., early 2016, Fraser Valley Hop Farms Inc., has been an advocate for locally produced craft beer, offering thousands of unique beers and local jobs for those living in the Province.

Vancouver, Canada, July 09, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Fraser Valley Hop Farms Inc., is pleased to announce that the company has entered into a lease agreement with Sincere Realty Inc, renting commercial store front office space.The site will facilitate a micro brewery and office area for the growing farm. Located in the city of West Vancouver, with-in walking-distance proximity to small pubs and a popular marina.

The farm forecasts an operational time-line, as a small scale craft beer producer in early 2018. Due to the global shortage of hops, the micro-brewery should not see any complications in fulfilling the needed hops. Doors will be open for the public for tours, educational courses, networking events and marketing both the selling of hops and craft beer.

“We’re very excited to be up and running there by early next year,” said Marketing Director Shane Toews. “We’ll be opening a facility that, in addition to our producing hops farm, the new micro-brew-house allows us an opportunity to increase production while gaining a first hand look at how our hops are used to produce craft beer. The micro-brewer plans to focus and specialize in traditionally-brewed, English-style ales made with the finest malted barley, hops and water which are designed for the beers.

Fraser Valley Hop Farms, Inc. is on track in conjunction with local farm share partners, to be the largest yielding hops farm in the country by 2020. At the moment, the company is primarily operating under the direction and guidance of seasoned professionals, directors and capital partners. Hops typically sell for $14 to 25 a pound. When hop prices spiked to $50 a pound about eight years ago and more craft breweries started, the newly created farm decided to make plans for expansion. Hops production in the Fraser Valley was at one time producing the world's supply of hops in the 1920s.
