Anti-Money Laundering Summit to be Held at Denver Fed: Panelists Include John F. Walsh, U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado

Denver, CO, July 23, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Independent Bankers of Colorado (IBC) and Shapiro Bieging Barber Otteson (SBBO) will host second annual Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering Mile High Summit at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch, on Thursday, August 4, 2016.

In a climate where examining agencies appear to be increasing the scrutiny applied to the compliance programs of financial institutions and money service businesses, the Summit will provide attendees with comprehensive information about BSA/AML.

The Summit is designed for those responsible for management and/or functional-level responsibilities for BSA/AML compliance and/or operations. Individuals with retail banking, risk management, compliance, audit, operational, corporate banking, director and training responsibilities will benefit from this program.

While the Summit will be presented at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch, a live stream, for an unlimited number of employees, is available for those unable to attend in person.

Special guest Lewis Koski, Deputy Senior Director of Enforcement, Colorado Department of Revenue, will be joined by a diverse slate of industry expert speakers and panelists from government, industry, legal, and law enforcement. John F. Walsh, U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado, will be participating in the law enforcement panel on Thursday afternoon August 4. SBBO Partner John Podvin is a featured speaker and will be presenting on how to protect individuals and organizations from potential personal liability in matters pertaining to the BSA.
