More and More Visitors Are Travelling to India from All Over the World to be with Ramakant Maharaj

The emergence of Self-Realized Master, Shri Ramakant Maharaj, as a rare Jnani and authentic teacher, is attracting untold disenchanted seekers. Is this Master the catalyst that will herald change? Have we entered the "Post-Neo-Advaitin" period?

London, United Kingdom, July 29, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Interest in Shri Ramakant's powerful, fresh and radical teachings continues to grow since the book, "Selfless Self: Talks with Shri Ramakant Maharaj," was published last year, and subsequently translated into French, Spanish and Dutch. In response to this demand, the Master will be offering Satsang in USA, in September, and in the UK, France and Holland, next spring.

Many seekers who contact Maharaj's admin team, have expressed their weariness at what is currently on offer. In spite of attending Satsang with various teachers, some of them for years, they feel that they are just going round in circles, without making any real progress. So, when they eventually discover Ramakant Maharaj, a direct disciple of the legendary Nisargadatta, they are excited and given fresh hope: Maharaj will be the one who can bring their search to an end.

Ann Shaw, editor of "Selfless Self," and admin founder-member, had this to say: “It is not surprising that many seekers are now gravitating towards Ramakant Maharaj. Present day teachers are generally unable to offer proper guidance, and, more importantly, they do not advocate the need for any effort and practice. Undoubtedly, the Satsang movement appeals to those looking for a quick fix, in a fast-paced world, with its fast-food lifestyles etc. Unfortunately, however, there is no such thing as fast-food liberation, or fast-food spirituality, devoid of any kind of practice or discipline - and there never will be.”

She continued: “Neo-Advaita can be credited for introducing seekers to the idea of 'you are not the body'. However, beyond this, and in spite of many well-intentioned teachers, one wonders what else has been achieved? What is on offer does not seem to be working because the core practice of Self-enquiry coupled with knowledge-based, methodical guidance, are absent.”

“Both effort and drive are needed to 'know thyself',” says the Master. “Self-enquiry is essential, as well as guidance from a teacher who has first-hand knowledge, and knows all the details of this (illusory) journey - because he, the teacher, has gone through it himself. Only a Self-Realized Master is qualified to be a competent guide, otherwise we have a case of the blind leading the blind.”

Shri Ramakant is an ordinary and humble teacher: “Knowledge is free,” he says. “I am not giving you anything new. I am just showing you what is already within you. There is no difference between us.” He does not charge for sharing these teachings. All he asks for from aspirants, is the surrender of the mind, ego, intellect, so that he can guide them back to their true home, their True Essence - the Stateless State, 'That' which is prior to knowledge.”

“When you realize that everything is within you, there will be happiness without any material cause. Your happiness is my payment,” the Master says graciously. His only wish is to alleviate suffering by sharing “right knowledge,” and thereby dissolving and eradicating “wrong knowledge.” “All these teachings,” he says, “are for the 'unborn child' who has forgotten his identity. I am simply here to remind you.”

“Whether teachers or seekers welcome it or not”, exclaims Ann, “it seems that we are in the process of change. The intense relief and evident excitement communicated by countless seekers on finding a Jnani, and their sincere longing to meet, and listen to him teach, indicate that something is missing from the status quo. If one is serious about the path of "Self-Knowledge," then the book "Selfless Self" is an invaluable resource."

Christopher Quilkey, editor of the "Mountain Path" Quarterly Journal, of Sri Ramanasramam, in his review this month, said: “This book... is not for the casually inquisitive or faint hearted. One has to breathe this book not think it. There is more happening in the dialogues than words can say. After reading through this book I have come to the conclusion that to be in the presence of Ramakant Maharaj is to enter another dimension of understanding.”

"Selfless Self" is available from Watkins Books.
