530 Fullerton Foundation Rebrands as Care For Friends

Organization chooses new name to better reflect scope of homeless services provided.

Chicago, IL, July 28, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The 530 Fullerton Foundation announced today that it has officially changed its name to “Care For Friends” to better describe the scope of services that have developed in the program through the last 48 years.

“We have a long tradition of providing hot meals to Chicago’s homeless under our signature 'Food for Friends' program,” said Gary Kenzer, the organization’s new Executive Director. “Yet the scope of the services provided to our guests has grown beyond simply food to include a foot care and medical clinic, a clothes closet, and a toiletries distribution program. Rebranding as Care For Friends was a much more obvious way to describe all the services we provide.”

Along with the name change, the organization launched a new website at www.CareForFriends.org, and revealed a new logo design.

Annette Moore, Secretary of the Board of Directors describes the logo as “a trio of individuals, growing larger out of an outstretched hand. It underscores our mission of connecting Chicago’s most vulnerable with the resources they need to enable a better life. We also believe that the open hand expresses our approach to inviting members of the community to partner with us in providing these services."
