Are You Ready for Some Foosball?

DirectBuy of Boston South donates foosball table to Marshfield Boys & Girls Club.

Rockland, MA, January 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Marshfield Boys & Girls Club makes a point of developing programs that not only nurture the minds of children between the ages of six and 18, but also offering a fun activities that provide a nice diversion after a long day at school. To that end, DirectBuy of Boston South’s recent donation of a foosball table is a welcome addition to the Boys & Girls Club’s game room.

Made by one of the finest foosball manufacturers, the regulation-size foosball table retails for $599.99. DirectBuy of Boston South Owner John Massaria delivered the table to the Club, located at Library Plaza in Marshfield, at the beginning of this month shortly after students returned from school vacation.

“I know DirectBuy of Boston South helps its customers save a lot of money by buying directly from the manufacturer, but we’d be hard-pressed to top this deal,” said Greg Jackson, executive director of the Marshfield Boys & Girls Club. “Seriously, we can’t thank DirectBuy of Boston South enough for their generous donation of the foosball table. It’s with this kind of generosity that we’ve been able to create a place that’s special to the children and families of Marshfield.”

Since 1971, DirectBuy franchises have offered members the opportunity to enjoy enormous savings on home furnishings, home improvement items, entertainment and outdoor products and accessories by buying wholesale, directly from the manufacturer. As one of DirectBuy’s largest New England showrooms for the past 21 years, DirectBuy of Boston South has also been an active contributor to many local non-profits and charities, including the South Shore YMCA, Homes for Our Troops and Children’s Hospital.

“To us, being a member of the business community here on the South Shore also means being a member of the community in general, just like our members. So when we make a donation to a place like the Boys & Girls Club, we’re not only helping out a worthwhile cause, but one that probably benefits our members, their families and their friends and neighbors and that’s always worthwhile.”
