Select Teachers Launches State of the ESL Industry Survey

Shanghai, China, August 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Shanghai-based Select Teachers today launched its State of the ESL Industry Survey for teachers who teach English as a Second Language.

The survey; the first of its kind is designed to gather global data on working conditions throughout the industry, including everything from class sizes and technology, to salaries. The aim is to provide this information back to teachers freely to help them understand their place in a huge fragmented global industry employing several million people, yet has no single voice or standards.

"As we collect data to benchmark the industry it will allow ESL teachers to be better informed about acceptable and common working conditions. The industry has changed considerably since 2008 when there was an oversupply of teachers due to the economic situation in the west, to now, where there is a considerable under supply of qualified ESL teachers as poor conditions have driven people away from the industry," Craig said

ESL Teachers can take the survey at www.selectteachers.com/eslsurvey.

Select Teachers is an online professional network for ESL Teachers, recruiters and certification providers to connect, discuss ESL related topics and support each other working in this global fragmented business.
