Ellen Dempsey, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Teachers Network, Has Been Announced Princeton Premier’s Honored Member in Education

New York, NY, January 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Ellen Dempsey, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Teachers Network, has been announced Princeton Premier’s Honored Member in Education. Ellen Dempsey currently resides in Manhattan, New York and attended Russell Sage College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology; shortly after she pursued a Master of Arts degree in English Education from New York University (NYU). Ms. Dempsey is the founder and acting president of the Teachers Network, a national nonprofit corporation established to enhance the educational experience of all students by recognizing and rewarding creative classroom instruction with direct grants to teachers and by promoting teacher networks. Ellen has received many awards; among those are the Apple Polisher Award from the Association for a Better New York and the Educational Leadership Award from the Educational Administrators Association (AFL-CIO).

In her spare time, Ellen enjoys various sports including skiing and tennis. Vice President Jay Harris is proud to announce the acceptance of Ellen Dempsey into the upcoming 2008-2009 edition of the registry. They believe she will continue to strive for professional excellence.
