)-- Tangentia Inc. today announced the hiring of Jeff Ashcroft as Vice President, Business Development focusing on the Retail, Banking and Government sectors across North America. After spending 15 years with Hudson’s Bay Company where he worked from the warehouse floor up to the top logistics role as well as Distribution Systems User Owner, he designed and implemented custom quick response systems which lead to full supply chain visibility and expense savings of $25M annually. Jeff then helped pioneer third party retail logistics in North America as the first Director of Business Development for Tibbett & Britten in 1993. He was a key part of the team that grew the business to 20 million square feet servicing some of the largest retailers in Canada and the world and developed a technology organization and strategy that made TBG the largest and most successful Retail Third Party Logistics partner.
Jeff then moved on to start Strategic Logistics Partners and the Supply Chain Network Project pioneering the application of new end to end supply chain network models (IoT) and processes. Facilitated by the latest technologies these projects demonstrated the significant collaborative savings opportunities available when retail firms and consumer goods manufacturers are working together. In 2005 Jeff was then recruited to lead the Logistics/Supply Chain practice at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC Canada) and was also their Retail Advisory Leader for Canada. In 2011 & 2012, Jeff was an Industry Analyst at Constellation Research Group where he covered supply chain and social networking, resulting in the initial development of the emerging concept of Matrix Commerce and Matrix Retail. The vision of Matrix Commerce and Matrix Retail can now be realized and effectively be brought to life utilizing the solutions and services of Tangentia and our partners.
