Roadmaster Drivers School Puts Wheels on Giving

Roadmaster Drivers School is about more than just truck driving. Christmas 2007 was the perfect way to show that there’s a warm heart behind the wheel too.

Tampa, FL, January 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Can one company make a difference for a charity like The Sallie House? Roadmaster Drivers School Corporate Headquarters in Tampa Bay, Florida thinks so. Allied behind a massive charity drive for three home-grown charities, Metropolitan Ministries, Humane Society of Tampa Bay and the unique Sallie House, Roadmaster employees put their cumulative weight toward the effort this past Christmas and succeeded in donating ample amounts of items needed. This is nothing new for Roadmaster however; many Roadmaster employees volunteer year-round.

The Humane Society of Tampa is particularly close to the heart of one Career Path Training staffer, (Career Path Training is the parent company of Roadmaster Drivers School). Regular Humane Society volunteer and animal-lover, Katie Hardcastle states, “Animals enrich our lives in so many ways, the least we can do is give back to them by volunteering our time or donating things like blankets, toys, cat litter or dry dog and cat food. It warms my heart knowing there are so many people committed to the welfare of pets. Being a part of such a wonderful organization like the Humane Society is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made as well as the most rewarding.”

The Sallie House, (pronounced “Sally House”), a Salvation Army ministry, is a children’s shelter that provides St. Petersburg, Florida kids with a warm, comfortable, and inviting place for children who must be removed from their homes- often because of abuse or neglect. Sallie’s House has grassroots support at Roadmaster Drivers School, with many employees giving their time and talent to the important work. Mrs. Holli Kile-Kliethermes, Marketing Director for Roadmaster Drivers School, works with the Sallie House website, (SalvationArmyStPetersburg.org and click on Sallie Angels), attends regular Sallie House meetings and helps as on-call support. According to Kile-Kliethermes “The Sallie House is amazing. You take one look at these kids and you realize just how important this ministry is and that you can make a difference in other people’s lives.”

Roadmaster Drivers School is a truck driving school with a 3 or 4 week truck driving and CDL training program that teaches students everything they need to know about trucking as well as how to safely drive a truck.
