NAFA Provides The Fundamentals of Fleet with Fleet 101 Webinars

New series of webinars provides "day one" education for new fleet professionals.

Princeton, NJ, September 29, 2016 --(PR.com)-- With billions of dollars on the line, the fleet profession depends on a knowledgeable workforce right from an employee’s “day one.” On September 15, NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA) launched Fleet 101, a series of webinars offering a powerful jumpstart to the fundamentals of fleet, presenting information professionals need at the start of their fleet career.

NAFA’s Fleet 101 webinar series offers new fleet managers and fleet-related teams a broad overview of the varied disciplines that comprise today’s fleet industry. Presented by seasoned fleet professionals, Fleet 101 will help new fleet managers understand the basics of the work and lay the foundation for more detailed fleet management education.

”When it comes to fleet, knowledge is crucial,” said NAFA Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE. ”Consider the financial responsibilities of fleet managers: if you combine the more ’traditional’ fleet vehicles of passenger cars, vans, and SUVs with those for medium- and heavy-duty truck fleets, you’re looking at more than $100 billion in assets and services NAFA members have in their charge annually. One quickly understands that a fleet manager cannot afford to ’learn on the job.’ Fleet 101 is NAFA’s solution that helps new fleet professionals get up to speed in the field’s necessary disciplines.”

Fleet 101 comprises eight one-hour webinars which can be accessed at any time. Beginning with a one-hour introductory offering that provides an overview of the entire Fleet 101 curriculum, each additional webinar will speak to a particular essential fleet discipline, one at a time, and is invaluable for training junior team members as they expand in their fleet roles.

”New fleet professionals need the fundamentals to perform with confidence,” added Russo. ”The Fleet 101 webinar series affords fleet managers introductory education at the highest standards of quality, the flexibility and convenience of the webinar format, and NAFA, the most trusted association in fleet.”
