New Healthcare Platform Swellby.com Focuses on Wellness Providers

In a health care market where finding a good doctor and an affordable doctor do not go hand in hand, Swellby.com emerges to build an online marketplace for wellness providers to fill the void.

New York, NY, September 30, 2016 --(PR.com)-- More and more patients are starting their search for their health care provider online. According to the co-founder of Swellby.com, Dennis VanBruinisse, "This is understandable given that the health care system in America lacks uniformity." Everyone has a story of arriving at the doctor's office during your work day and having one of the following things happen: Confusion over insurance payments, wait times exceeding what your day allotted for, then not connecting with your doctor because he wasn't the right fit or he has so many patients to see that day, you're only a number. "The word 'care' does not fit the description of that experience," says Dennis VanBruinisse.

Traditionally when searching for a health care provider, you would have to call several offices before you get one on the line because they are in session with other patients. Or you may reach the receptionist, which usually gives you no indication of the Doctor's demeanor and in many cases the demeanor of the receptionist may even detract from your impression of his work.

Swellby steps-up to resolve these issues by creating a simple user-friendly experience for the patient. With Swellby, patients can find the best provider nearest to them by typing in their location. Then they can view the provider's availability based on the calendar they display, read their specialties on their profile to make sure they are a good fit and pay for their appointment right there on the site.

When researching for the sites platform, the co-founder Dennis VanBruinisse saw a void in the market for an all-in-one site where both the patient's user experience and the provider's user experience were elevated. Providers needed a place to streamline their client intake and filing systems. They heard the complaints of practitioners not being able to take clients' calls because they were in a session, then having a filing system that could only be operated from the office leaving them unable to check-up on their clients while at home. So the founders built a secure client management system and took the added step of making it HIPAA compliant.

How is this different than other online healthcare platforms? Good question. Swellby focuses on wellness providers such as Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, and Nutritionists, a market that is underserved in the online marketplace. The intent is to promote preventative health care and wellness, which is why the name Swellby holds the word "well" at its core. The founders saw the shifting demand in the market for holistic wellness providers that actually promote long-term health as opposed to treating pain and sickness with a short term cure. The hope is that by creating this unique health and wellness marketplace more patients will have access to care of this type.
