Laboratory Testing Inc. Expands On-Site Electrical and Pressure Calibration Services

Laboratory Testing Inc. of Hatfield, PA has expanded its’ on-site electrical and pressure calibration services. Additions to the list of services include Pressure Calibration to 600 PSI, Arc Welders, Frequency Counters, Function / Signal Generators, Optical Tachometers, Oscilloscopes, Voltmeters and Multimeters.

Hatfield, PA, October 01, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) continues to expand the portfolio of calibration services offered through its LTI Metrology division. The most recent additions include a wide range of electronic and pressure measuring instruments and equipment that can be calibrated in LTI’s calibration laboratory and/or on-site at customer facilities.

On-site calibration is a growing business for LTI, as evidenced by the list of instruments recently added to the Lab’s calibration capabilities performed in the field:

Electrical Calibration
· Arc Welders
· Frequency Counters
· Function Generators / Signal Generators
· Optical Tachometers
· Oscilloscopes
· Voltmeters / Multimeters (Digital)

Pressure Calibration
· Compound Pressure / Vacuum Gauges
· Differential Pressure Gauges
· Pressure Gauges
· Pressure Recorders
· Pressure Transducers

All of the electronic instruments, except voltmeters and multimeters, are also new capabilities for LTI Metrology’s in-house calibration laboratory. The in-house lab has been offering pressure calibrations up to 40,000 PSI for a few years. The new on-site service is limited to 600 PSI, unless a customer has their own pressure source, then instruments can be calibrated to 1,500 PSI.

“It’s all about convenience,” said Ken Horvath, metrology manager at Laboratory Testing Inc. “Customers want all of their equipment calibrated by one company and many prefer to have the work done at their place of business to minimize downtime. Although we can calibrate many more instruments in our own lab, we continue to purchase portable equipment for use in the field. Our on-site capabilities continue to grow to meet our customers’ needs.”

Laboratory Testing Inc.’s calibration services exceed the most stringent quality requirements. LTI maintains ISO/IEC 17025 certification and A2LA accreditation. The Lab is also ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 and ISO 9001 complaint. All calibrations come with certificates traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) that include all details of the services performed. Automatic reminders for future calibration service can be set up at the customer’s desired frequency to maintain the reliability of instruments and equipment.

Calibration is performed for quality assurance to confirm that the inspected items will produce accurate readings which meet or exceed standards criteria and/or manufacturers’ specifications. In addition to electrical and pressure instruments, LTI Metrology also performs calibrations on torque, force, vacuum, mass, temperature, humidity and flow instruments, as well as measuring hand tools and equipment including surface plates, optical comparators, scales, microscopes, compression testing machines, hardness testers and ovens.
