Expii - International Math Talent Search Perfect for Classrooms

The Spirit of Ramanujan Talent Initiative was inspired by Srinivasa Ramanujan, a mathematical genius who overcame impossible odds to change the future of mathematics. In conjunction with the major motion picture, The Man Who Knew Infinity, the Spirit of Ramanujan Talent Initiative seeks to discover mathematical talent from around the world and connect participants with transformative educational opportunities through grants supported by the Templeton World Charity Foundation.

Up to 20 eligible individuals will be awarded Templeton-Ramanujan Scholarly Development Prizes for furthering their educational pursuits. Sponsored by the Templeton World Charity Foundation, to will engage with professional mathematicians as participants in the Joint Mathematics Meetings in Atlanta, USA, from January 4-7, 2017.

Up to 10 participants will be offered financial support to attend and participate in approved summer research in mathematics. These participants will receive a Templeton-Ramanujan Summer Fellows Prize to cover summer program expenses.

Starting on November 1, eligible participants will be invited to apply to the next round of the search via the American Mathematical Society’s MathPrograms.org. Everyone will have the opportunity to continue to raise scores on Expii Solve until the December 1st deadline.
