NOVEXX Solutions, Omni-ID & Silent Partner Technologies Take Top Prizes in 2016 AIM Case Study Competition; Winners Represent Leaders in AIDC, IoT and RFID

Pittsburgh, PA, October 22, 2016 --(PR.com)-- AIM, the trusted worldwide industry association for the automatic identification industry, providing unbiased information, educational resources and standards to providers and users of these technologies for nearly half a century, announced today the winners of its 2016 Case Study Competition. The Class of 2016 includes industry leaders NOVEXX Solutions, Omni-ID and Silent Partner Technologies.

Presented annually by AIM, the Case Study Competition recognizes those who have developed and delivered compelling solutions that contribute to the growth and advancement of automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) through innovation and technologies which provide benefits that decrease risk, increase the demand and accelerate the advancement and adoption of automatic identification around the world.

NOVEXX Solutions was chosen as the top entry in the Automatic Identification & Data Capture (AIDC) category for their submission Trolley Identification, in which labeling hardware from NOVEXX, adjusted using a new approach with label material from their partner Top Label printers BV, offered an innovative labeling solution to the largest retailer in the Netherlands. Thanks to the combination of these new technologies, the retailer now has a much cleaner and HACCP compliant solution for mesh trolley identification in the distribution centers.

Taking the top prize in the new Internet of Things (IoT) category was Omni-ID for their Build Book Application, designed for Detroit, a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America, who sought to realize greater production efficiency by diversifying manufacturing lines to handle a greater variety of product types. Using the ProVIEW System featuring the revolutionary View 10 (V10) tag, Detroit now relies on a single tag which downloads specific information based on the type of engine on each Automated Guide Vehicle (AGV) moving through production.

Silent Partner Technologies received this year’s honors in the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) category for South Metro Fire Rescue Authority, which detailed the inventory management challenges South Metro faced in their warehouse and 17 EMS stations serving the Centennial, Colorado area. With the help of Silent Partner Technologies’ IntelliView product which included a combination of Passive GEN2 and Active RFID technologies, South Metro saw both medical expirations and excess inventory reduced. Following the project’s completion, ambulances left stations with the correct equipment and fresh medicine and overhead was reduced by 50%.

AIM will recognize and honor each of the 2016 winners during an exclusive awards event at AIM Summit 2017, next March 13th in Stuttgart, Germany, where winners will present their respective case studies.
