The U.S Department of Labor reports that Georgia's unemployment rate as of September 2016 was 5.1%, which has lowered since the beginning of the year. The Small Business Association reported in 2010, that small business entities contributed 46% to the U.S. GDP and small businesses are vital roles in the stability of the U.S economy (SBA, 2010). According to the SBA, small business entities created over 40,000 new jobs in 2011 alone. However, one concerning fact for Davis is that studies found 80% of small businesses will not reach five years in business.
