NSC Tutor Teaches Partially Sighted to Create Wreaths

North Shropshire College (NSC) tutor Eileen Avery-Scott has been showing Oswestry’s sight loss group how to create wreaths in time for Christmas.

Oswestry, United Kingdom, November 09, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The session was hosted at Oswestry Library and involved NSC Floristry Tutor Eileen Avery-Scott taking the partially sighted group through the Christmas time activity.

“Group members very much enjoy the variety that the Sight Loss Opportunity (or ‘SLOG’) groups offer and actively contribute to planning the programme. New members are very welcome to all groups,” Development Officer Rachel Whitney commented.

The Oswestry Sight Loss Opportunity Group is facilitated by Shropshire Rural Communities Charity (RCC) and takes place every first Wednesday of the month from 10am-12pm in Oswestry Library. The group is open to anyone who is registered blind or visually impaired and exists to provide opportunities for activities, peer support and learning from interesting speakers.
