Kitchener, Canada, November 23, 2016 --(PR.com
)-- Hatchimals are the must have toy of the holidays based on over 5,000 list adds since November 1 from retailers Toys R Us, Walmart, Showcase and Indigo on flyer app reebee.
The toy originally retailed at $59.97 CAD and have since risen to prices $89.95 through some reebee retailers. The toys appeal comes from its ability to hatch itself once removed from its box, and leaves each buyer surprised at the animal inside.
“We’ve seen Hatchimals continue to be one of the top searched products in our app across the country, and one of the most added products to lists, outside of grocery,” said Tobiasz Dankiewicz, co-founder of reebee. “We suspect Hatchimals may rise in prices to upwards of $200 at legitimate retailers.”
19.3 million Canadians are expected to participate in Black Friday on November 25. Toy products are the third most purchased products annually, falling closely behind electronics and appliances according to Statistics Canada. Clothing and accessories hold the top place for highest sales.
With the predicted scramble to get the product under their trees, Canadian parents are able to enter a contest through reebee to win one of five Hatchimals, courtesy of Showcase. The contest will run on Thursday, November 24, 2016 through the reebee app and web platforms.
Founded in 2012 by high school friends, Michal Martyniak and Tobiasz Dankiewicz developed reebee to help consumers save time and money while shopping. reebee has grown to be a top app for iPhone, Android and Blackberry 10 users. With 3 million downloads, reebee offers Canadians an easier way to browse flyers, save money and stay green, while providing retail partners with an effective and innovative distribution solution. reebee continues to develop the platform, expand its flyer availability and become a favourite app amongst Canadians.
