Barker Realty Assists in Prominent Railyard Building Transition

Prominent Railyard Building, 500 Market Station, clears hurdles to provide leasing opportunities for local businesses in Santa Fe, NM.

Santa Fe, NM, December 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The building known as 500 Market Station in the Santa Fe Railyards (which includes the REI store) cleared significant hurdles last week when the U.S. Bankruptcy Court ordered that the Railyard Brewing Company lease be terminated (see enclosed order). This ends a long period of uncertainty during which the ability
to tenant the building was put into question.

The Bankruptcy Trustee (Craig Dill, of Craig Dill & Associates in Albuquerque) is now free to lease the “end cap” restaurant space, formerly occupied by the Flying Star Café, which consists of approximately 6,500 square feet. An additional 4,000 square feet of space next door is also available for lease.

As a part of the Bankruptcy Court order, the Railyard Brewing Company and Trustee will attend a mediation to determine whether an agreement can be reached to lease the 2nd floor space, which consists of approximately 17,100 square feet, to Railyard Brewing Company, LLC. Railyard Brewing Company hopes to open a bar/restaurant/bowling alley in this space, which has been substantially remodeled for this purpose.

A prominent local tenant has already signed a letter of intent for the approximately 3,000 square foot space between REI and Daniella’s Closet, a women's clothing boutique.

500 Market Station, a centerpiece of the Santa Fe Railyards, also houses many City offices and is across the street from the popular Violet Crown Cinema.
