Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association (MIMA) Partners with MCAD to Host “Conversations About the Future of Advertising” Special Speaker Series

New series of events from MIMA and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design brings experienced industry professionals to Minneapolis to discuss advertising and marketing trends.

Minneapolis, MN, January 31, 2008 --(PR.com)-- http://www.mima.org - The Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association (MIMA) has entered into a new partnership with the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) to offer a series of special free events titled “Conversations About the Future of Advertising”.

Inspired by Tim Brunelle, Principal, Hello Viking, who is teaching “The Future of Advertising” at MCAD this semester, the MCAD+MIMA speaker series will be held on five Monday nights starting February 4, 2008 at The Fine Line Café, Minneapolis.

“Brunelle came to MIMA looking for key industry professionals to speak at his MCAD classes,” said Matt Wilson, President of MIMA. “MIMA liked the topic so much that we decided to co-sponsor a series of events on the future of advertising.”

The first event “Conversation #1” features Jan Leth, Vice Chairman of Global Digital Creative for Ogilvy & Mather. Since 1996, Leth has overseen all creative development for OgilvyInteractive for an impressive roster of clients: IBM, Ameritrade, American Express, Coke and Cisco.

For one night only, Jan Leth will be in the hot seat, interviewed by Tim Brunelle about an array of global changes in advertising, marketing, public relations, technology and more.

“Marketing and advertising are undergoing profound changes. We want to bring experienced people like Jan Leth to Minneapolis to help all of us better understand and be prepared for the future,” said Brunelle.
