My Virtual Mission Adds Route 66 to Conqueror Events Virtual Challenge Series

Runners, walkers, cyclists and more can experience the “Mother Road” of the US through virtual exercise challenges.

Los Angeles, CA, December 30, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Conqueror Event Series, a virtual exercise challenge accessible via web, iOS and Android Apps, announces today the launch of sign-ups for the 2,280 mile Route 66 Virtual Challenge. Participants in the challenge log mileage by running, walking, cycling, or other forms of exercise, to hit virtual landmarks and cities such as Chicago, the Texas Panhandle, and Los Angeles along one the United State’s most historic highway systems.

“This challenge is a perfect opportunity for those looking for a little more motivation in their fitness routine for the New Year, and those trying to keep a New Year’s resolution going,” said Conqueror Event Series founder, Adam El-Agez. “Our length of the UK challenge which covers the distance from Lands to John O’Groats has been a great success. We’re excited to now offer Route 66, the most iconic road network in the world, as a virtual fitness challenge that people can put their workout miles towards each time they exercise.”

The Route 66 Virtual Challenge, which can be undertaken solo or in teams, will feature weekly, monthly and all time leaderboards where you can compare your achievements against people on your team, your friends, or everyone who is taking on the challenge from anywhere in the world. Participants can connect through their favorite fitness trackers like Fitbit, Strava, Map My Run, Runkeeper, and more, or manually log distances with the web/mobile app.

The Land’s End to John O’Groats Challenge has been active internationally since October 2016 with thousands of users. One runner, Mick Smith said, “It is addictive and definitely pushing me to get the miles clocked up. I wouldn’t normally sign up for virtual events but this is a very different platform.”

Reaching iconic sites such as Stonehenge and Edinburgh Castle feature in the Great Britain Challenge, and Cadillac Ranch, ghost towns and the Hollywood sign on the Route 66 Challenge, unlock virtual postcards as well as showing exactly what landmarks you’ve reached along each adventure. Runners, walkers, and cyclists will be able to experience the journey they are on through Google Street View at the end of each activity as well. Registration for The Route 66 Challenge opens December 5th, 2016 for those wanting to make an early commitment to their new year fitness goal.

Each of these virtual challenges can be completed over three, six, nine, or 12 month periods and can be started at any time throughout the year. Pricing tiers begin at $9 and include a variety of swag including medals and t-shirts.
