NSC Holds Integration Classes

North Shropshire College (NSC) has been holding classes for local refugees teaching vital English and information that will come in useful in the local community such as medication names and popular sayings.

Oswestry, United Kingdom, January 15, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The group consists of 12 students, 10 from families taken in from Lebanon by the UN and 2 from Bangladesh that are also benefiting from the program.

Tutor Rosemarie Sellers commented, "They are a pleasure to teach. I wish all of my students were as polite as they are. It’s an honour to be able to help in any way I can."

The class is running from September 2016 until the summer of 2017 and will also include a focus on employability. Lecturers will be teaching the group interview techniques and giving training that will help their prospects of getting a job.

The course is being delivered with help from national organisation, ‘Refugee Action.’ If anyone is interested in volunteering with the organisation or simply would like more information on the project, please visit www.refugee-action.org.uk
