The Ultimate Sports Network Announces the Launch of Sports Talk Live at Five

Sports Talk Live at Five will produce a three-hour podcast from local sports bars in over thirty markets in North America on a weekly basis as a precursor to the launch of the Ultimate Sports Network. These sports bars will be chosen from the markets that support professional sports teams in North America, as well as thriving college towns.

Las Vegas, NV, February 03, 2017 --(PR.com)-- For an organization who dubs itself as “By sports fans, for sports fans,” the Ultimate Sports Network is going to walk the walk, and definitely talk the talk. The sports talk arm of the Ultimate Sports Network, better known as 1USN, will be taking their show, more accurately, shows to the people.

“Sports Talk Live at Five,” will produce a three-hour podcast from local sports bars once a week for three months. These sports bars will be chosen from the markets that support professional sports teams in North America, as well as thriving college towns. “What we want to accomplish with Sports Talk Live at Five is grab people by the ears and let them know there is a new game in town,” says Ultimate Sports Network CEO Frank Gordon. “For our advertisers, partners, and listeners we want to establish how we take care of them, so in the future they will know we are the best alternative available for Sports Talk Radio.”

Sports Talk Live at Five is the first installment of many for the Ultimate Sports Network. Step two will see them go to a 24/7 format for over 200 internet sports talk radio stations in North America. These stations will focus on not only the great sports cities, but also the individual franchises as well. As an example, there will be a station that focuses on the city of Atlanta, and stations that focus on the Milwaukee Bucks, San Jose Sharks, Houston Astros, and Miami Dolphins to name a few. Included in this phase will be stations for individual sports and leagues. Boxing, golf, and tennis would have their own station. As would College Football, the National Basketball Association, Fantasy Sports and more. Step three will see an expansion to Major League Soccer, English Premier League Soccer, and the Canadian Football League. Step four would expand locally, allowing for more extensive coverage of local college and high school sports.

To kick-off Sports Talk Live at Five, 1USN needs to establish which markets will accommodate appropriate advertising, and can provide the types of sports bars that will make this project a success. When 1USN expands to phase two, Sports Talk Live at Five will expand as well. It will also be a proving ground for some of their up and coming on-air talent and producers. “When all is said, and done, we will add over 6,000 job opportunities in this industry. From on-air talent, to producers, to accountants, to executives, we will need good people, which we feel is another positive that we provide.”

And while this may appear to be a chance for the Ultimate Sports Network to line its pockets, charging advertisers as well as the venues in which they will broadcast, Mr. Gordon actually laughed. He stated that the Ultimate Sports Network will never charge a venue for the opportunity to broadcast live. “I have witnessed other traveling radio shows take up space in the parking lot with their vans and entourages, take up valuable space within the establishment with a bunch of unnecessary equipment, and walk out the door with a five-figure check. Their 'partner' lost money, but the station made money. Not a great partnership to me.” What the Ultimate Sports Network will do instead, is not only operate at the venue for free, but in lieu of a cover charge they will partner with a local food bank and “charge” a donation of one non-perishable food item per event.

The Ultimate Sports Network is currently seeking venues to host Sports Talk Live at Five, sponsors and advertisers for these events, and advertising salespersons, producers, and on-air talent to create the shows.
