BankInfoSecurity.com Announces New Banking Regulation Section

BankInfoSecurity.com conglomerates the applicable regulations from the FDIC, OTS, FinCEN, and other regulatory bodies in order to better serve the Banking Information security community.

North Brunswick, NJ, February 22, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Many organizations regulate a bank’s information security practices. Among them, The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the National Credit Union Association (NCUA), Federal Financial Institutions Examinations Council (FFIEC), Federal Reserve Board (FRB), and Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) are the top regulatory bodies which govern banks and credit unions. BankInfoSecurity.com has created a section on its website dedicated to conglomerating the applicable regulations from these regulatory bodies in order to better serve the banking information security community.

The section by default presents the most recent regulations first. An intuitive interface allows visitors to scroll through regulations from newest to oldest. Users can also view regulations according to topic (anti-money laundering, risk management, etc.), regulatory body, and regulation relationship (Bank Security Act, GLBA, etc.). In addition, all regulations are searchable by keyword.

The result is a one-stop location for banks and financial institutions to keep up with the latest banking information security related regulations. Additionally, when regulations come out that affect the way banks do business (such as Strong Authentication in Internet Banking and the Information Technology Risk Management Program) BankInfoSecurity.com will also promote these regulations in its weekly e-news publication, which presents articles, white papers, reference kits, and other content specifically geared towards the banking information community.

The new BankInfoSecurity.com website (http://www.bankinfosecurity.com) is the leading provider of banking and financial related information security news and education.
