Annabel Wins Bronze

North Shropshire College (NSC) Hospitality and Catering students have recently had success at the Welsh International Culinary Championships (WICC) in Coleg Llandrillo, Rhos-On-Sea.

Oswestry, United Kingdom, March 11, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The WICC is Wales’ largest annual culinary competition for both colleges and the hospitality industry. Entrants take part in a unique program of culinary competition, whereby students, lecturers and local chefs take part in culinary challenges from piping potatoes, filleting fish to cooking dishes.

Student Annabel Bullen received a bronze award for her skill in the "mashed potato piping" category. Annabel said of her award, "I enjoyed rising to the challenge that the competition gave me and it has set a bench mark for what I can expect next time I am invited to a high calibre competition. I would like to thank the competition organisers for the opportunity and I would also like to thank NSC and my lecturers for everything they have helped me with and taught me."

NSC Lecturer Phil Bell commented, "We are extremely proud of Annabel and her achievements. It is a testament to the college’s teaching and facilities that our students can go head to head with professionals from the industry."
