KIB and Code Enforcement Honored at Newsmakers Reception - Quarterly Event Recognizes Significant, Newsworthy Accomplishments

Irving, TX, April 27, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Keep Irving Beautiful (KIB) and the City of Irving Code Enforcement Department were recently honored at the “Quarterly Newsmaker Reception” held at the Four Seasons on April 19. This event, jointly hosted by the Irving Economic Development Partnership (which includes the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, the City of Irving, the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Las Colinas Association) and the Four Seasons Resort and Club, recognizes businesses and organizations that made significant and newsworthy accomplishments during the first quarter of 2017. KIB was honored for having received both the President’s Circle and Sustained Excellence Awards at the 2017 Keep America Beautiful (KAB) National Conference. Winning these awards indicates that KIB distinguished itself as an exemplary affiliate through its outstanding community improvement programs in the areas of litter prevention, beautification, recycling and community greening. Code Enforcement was honored for receiving a First Place KAB National Award in the “Overall Community Improvement” category for its innovative programs.

“Being invited to this event means that you have done something with a positive impact to make Irving proud,” said KIB Board President Jim Scrivner. “We are honored to be included with so many outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations that have the same goal of making Irving a great place to live, work and play.”
