)-- Kadandelu Purushothama Bhat Thenkuthittu Yakshagana Protsaha Samsthe, Kateel, a not for profit charitable organization has been founded on May 18, 2017 at Kateel, Mangalore, by the family members of the Centurion Yakshagana Exponent Late. Kadandelu Purushothama Bhat, of Devi Mahatme fame, Kateel.
As part of the ongoing charitable activities, the organization has sponsored / facilitated the tuition on Thenkuthittu Yakshagana by the reigning Sthree Vesha Expert, Yaksha Shata, Master Ravi Alaverooya for the next one year for 5 deserving children. The contribution towards the same was handed over to Shri Ravi Alaverooya on July 1, 2017 during the death anniversary ceremonies of Late Shri Kadandelu Purushothama Bhat, at Udupi.
M/s Kadandelu Purushothama Bhat Thenkuthittu Yakshagana Protsaha Samsthe, Kateel as the name suggests is a not for profit charitable organization founded by the family members of Late Kadandelu Purushothama Bhat, to Protect, Propagate and Promote Thenkuthittu form of Yakshagana. Currently the organization is engaged in educating the art form to deserving children. Future road map for activities drawn by the organization include Providing medical aid to deserving artists, Conservation and restoration by research of the art-form to its state of the glorious origin, a center for education of the various tributes of the Thenkuthittu Yakshagana art form as charitable activities on death anniversary and sponsorship of Thenkuthittu Yakshagana performances for the enthusiasts as promotion of the art form during the birth anniversary celebrations of Late Shri Kadandelu Purushothama Bhat, the protagonist of the art-form in whose name the organization is founded.
