Kihei, HI, July 14, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Two Mermaids on Maui B&B owners Juddee and Miranda Kawaiola are pleased to announce that the Two Mermaids Bed & Breakfast will be celebrating their 17-year anniversary in October. Their business was one of the few B&B’s originally permitted by Maui County in 1994, they purchased the home in July of 2000 and welcomed their first guest on October 26 the same year. They have since hosted thousands of guests from all over the world.

To celebrate, Juddee and Miranda are offering 17% off the B&B’s regular rate starting July 15 through Oct 26, 2017. In addition, they are offering anniversary discounts to guests who are interested in wedding and vow renewal packages.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood on the sunny side of Maui in South Kihei only minutes away from some of the best beaches, restaurants, galleries and shops in the world and Wailea, Maui's #1 resort community. The Bed & Breakfast has two individually decorated guest rooms with private entrances and reserved off street parking. The Poolside Studio Sweet has a private bathroom and kitchenette, located steps away from the pool. The one bedroom Ocean Ohana has a semi-full kitchen, large private lanai with hot tub and dining area both inside and on the lanai. Amenities include personal Weber propane grills, libraries, flat screen TV’s, DIRECTV w/premium channels, free WI-FI and Yamaha or Taylor acoustic guitars available for guests. A tropical breakfast with fresh local grown organic fruits is delivered to the guest's doorstep each morning. Flexible breakfast times are particularly attractive to divers and active travelers. They have services and amenities that make any honeymoon, anniversary, or birthday celebration memorable. Two-bedroom options are available for families in both suites, children are always welcomed.

Before moving to Maui former Alameda, California residents, Juddee was the Director at Mandana House, a drop-in drug and alcohol community recovery center on Howe Street in Oakland, California. Miranda had been with The North Face for 14 years. They were bitten by the scuba diving bug after making numerous dive trips to Maui, in 2000 they decided to make the move to warmer waters. Friends had dubbed them the mermaids so it was a natural to name the business in the spirit of scuba diving, their favorite past time.

Their focus is on the B&B and Juddee has been officiating weddings, Vow Renewals, Baptisms, Christenings and other ceremonies. Both successfully juggle their busy lives by being involved in volunteering in the community and the neighborhood in which they live and work. Many of their guests are invited to volunteer while on vacation. They earn Hawaii Adopt A Highway T-shirts by volunteering to help clean up their stretch of the highway for an hour or volunteering at community events. Part of the charm of staying at the Two Mermaids is that guests are offered a chance to experience the Hawaiian concepts of laulima (many hands) and kuleana (responsibility) first hand. They get a real feel for the community and learn more about the local culture.
