Staunton, VA, February 16, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- (www.valleymarket.org) -- Valley Market launched the first official release of its website this past Sunday, and can be found on the Internet at www.valleymarket.org.
This initial offering enables users to learn more about Valley Market and its vision to open a cooperatively run, retail natural foods storefront in downtown Staunton. Users may become co-op members by purchasing an equity share in Valley Market via PayPal’s secure online ordering system. The site also offers ways in which interested parties can get involved in the development of the co-op through volunteerism.
"This first release of our site is primarily focused on raising awareness about the co-op, establishing a network of interested people, and increasing membership," said Michael Reeps, a member of the Valley Market's Communications Committee. "We are very much in a fundraising mode right now, and our website is one of the best ways we can keep our name out there for folks to learn more about us, and hopefully decide to become members. Combined with our movie series and other events we are planning, we fully expect to see the level of membership and community involvement in Valley Market surge in the weeks and months ahead," he added. More information about Valley Market’s upcoming events can be found on the website.
Valley Market is actively seeking volunteers to sit on Core Group committees, and to fill vacancies on their Board of Directors. Interested parties should visit www.valleymarket.org to learn more.
